Hello, this is Jerry Vidmar with Custom Integrated Designs. We’re here in Parker, Colorado today to show you our finished basement which was started a few weeks ago. The two storage closets are complete and the homeowner can now use this as a backup pantry area.
As discussed in previous videos, the picture frame window has been installed instead of drywall for a much more solid surface and durable, eliminating problems of moisture and mildew. The doors opening into the mechanical areas including a furnace and hot water heater have also been completed. The door has been designed to meet code and allow workers to easily access this area if needed.
The staircase has been opened up, finished with ballasts and a railing which match the upstairs design. The column has also been wrapped to match the stairs.
The bedroom is finished, which is approximately 12 feet by 12 feet, with an attached closet. The bathroom includes dual entrances for easy accessibility from the living room and the bedroom. The bathroom includes a nice sized shower with a swinging door, a pedestal sink, and an oversized linen closet directly underneath the stairs.
